LIFE starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan Receives an R Rating by MPAA

According to Ropes of Silicone, Life has been given an R rating from MPAA. Which is suprising, because even though I've only seen a clip of the film from Berlinale, it doesn't seem like the type of movie that needs to be rated at such a restrictive level. 

"Anton Corbijn's Life is still looking for a distributor after its Berlin Film Festival premiere, but it has an MPAA rating. The film, starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan, will arrive with an R-rating when it does finally arrive."
