YAY the first trailer for Cafe Society, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, and Corey Stoll, is here!! 

Directed by Woody Allen, A girl and a boy in the most classy years of New York. A father of a girl and a mother of a boy in the deep America. A meeting in the middle. Written and directed by Woody Allen. Set to premiere in Cannes' 16, expected to be released later this fall.

The setting, the look, the style, the grace, the feeling!! It looks so beautiful and classy! 

In other good news, the film will open at Seattle International Film Festival on May 19:

Woody Allen's latest film, Cafe Society, will be featured during the Opening Night Gala of the 2016 Seattle International Film Festival.

Cafe Society stars Jesse Eisenberg as a young man who arrives in Hollywood from New York during the 1930s and finds himself swept up in the cafe society of the age. Kristen Stewart, Steve Carell, Parker Posey and Blake Lively also star.

"Woody Allen delivers a delightful, vibrant and entertaining tale that continues to expand his repertory of acting talent. Combining the power of SIFF, which boasts the largest audience of any film festival in the country, with an emerging Seattle-based film distribution powerhouse that firmly believes in the theatrical experience, along with one of our most acclaimed directors, is a perfect match," said festival director Carl Spence.

Cafe Society will have its premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival in May.

The film is being distributed by Amazon. The Seattle-based company has six titles at the festival, including Author: The JT LeRoy Story, The Dressmaker and Gleason.

The 42nd Seattle International Film Festival will run from May 19 to June 12.

EQUALS: First Trailer: Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult Find Love in a Hopeless Place!!

 

The new trailer for Equals, starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult has arrived!! With the excitement of the film premiering at Cleveland and Tribeca Film Festivals, we had yet to experience the full-on emotional feels of the first trailer...until now! 

EQUALS takes place in a utopian society where violence and crime have been virtually eradicated—via the genetic elimination of human emotion. People like Nia (Kristen Stewart) and Silas (Nicholas Hoult) live calm, uneventful, drone-like lives. The two work alongside each other in a large office, creating informational publications and exchanging the occasional pleasantry. Life is simple, until a rumor starts to circulate: a disease has broken out; one that causes people to manifest emotions. If discovered by the powers that be, the infected are sent away, never to return. Silas suspects he carries the disease, and when this is confirmed, he becomes an outcast. But he is drawn back to Nia, who is also infected but has managed to hide the symptoms far better than he. Upon discovering they are similarly stricken, they need to decide whether to stay and hide or run for freedom. 

This future is, at first glance, a beautiful one: high windows, greenery, light-infused work spaces, food and shelter for all. But the viewer starts to feel unease at the spectacle of empty-eyed people moving through yet another day. 

EQUALS poses the question: could we scientifically suppress the strongest human emotion, or is love so strong it could truly conquer all? –Toronto International Film Festival

The movie releases in theaters on July 15, with an additional release a month before on DIRECTV CINEMA, on May 26.

The trailer features DeHaan as the perpetually youthful Dean, the original cinematic rebel whose life was cut short in a tragic car accident. Nonetheless, Dean managed to leave behind an impressive filmography and his death thrust him into the spotlight as a legend. The trailer sheds some light into Dean's life, while also telling the story of a short friendship.
