'Maps to the Stars' To Be Submitted to Cannes 2014??

MapstotheStars-film.com posted earlier today:

Early this morning I saw a follower attended the A Dangerous Method screening at TIFF last night, and listened to a panel that included David Cronenberg and Peter Suschitzky afterwards. She also attended a book signing with David Cronenberg, and visited the Cronenberg: Evolution exhibit. I am posting her tweets about the Cannes comments here, and then the photos from the events in a separate post (both with her permission)
Something of particular interest to Maps To The Stars fans is she said both Cronenberg and Suschitzky (separately, one to her one to her friend) that the intention is to submit Maps To The Stars to the Cannes Film Festival. (This would be, of course, submitting for consideration to be included in the festival. This is not in any way an announcement it will be there, I am sure we will have to all wait for the Cannes Film Festival to know what films will be there.) However, this is consistent with something eOnefilms said during a cast announcement. Here’s that post from this blog, and the specific quote on that from it, following @Susiekew’s tweets.
Let's hope something good happens! :)
